Sunki by Sunni - Passion in Every Product

Hello, my name is Sunniva, and I am the creator behind Sunki by Sunni.

Sunki by Sunni is the result of my creative outlet. Ever since I was little, I have constantly been creating things; drawings, paintings, figures, and anything else you can make with your hands. Drawings of dresses, tops, pants, and entire outfits are somewhere in my childhood home from when I was 13 and wanted to become a fashion designer. A half-finished dress sewn on my mom's sewing machine is also neatly tucked away in the attic.

 

The dream of becoming a fashion designer faded, and there were many things I wanted to become in the meantime; a personal trainer, a designer, a doctor, and eventually, a physicist. Long story short, I have a Bachelor's degree from the University of Oslo in Physics and Astronomy - a completely different world from Sunki!

 

When I had finished my last exam, summer vacation began, and the job search started. As most people know, the job search process can be lengthy, which mine turned out to be. I'm the type who goes crazy if I don't have anything to do - that's why I started Sunki. This was to keep myself busy, even though it wasn't within the world of physics and programming, which I had existed in for the past three years.

 

Something to do turned into something others were interested in, which in turn made me see potential - I could create something new and exciting, and most importantly, my own workplace. So I did! There is always something new to do, something new to plan, something new to learn, and something new to create. Every day, Sunki grows, and every day, it moves forward - and I love what I do!

 

 

Everything you see here on the website, and everything from Sunki by Sunni, comes from a place of passion to share. Share something beautiful to look at, share something fun to create, and create something made to be used!

Share the Journey With Me

I often make new scrunchies, and I always have a new favorite. My very first was Serenity Sea, which I actually took completely out of production because the fabric became very wrinkled after it got wet. It is very important to me that the fabric I use is of quality. Not just for the first time you use it, but for every time it's going to be used! My favorite after that was Emerald XL, which was a big favorite among you as well throughout the winter of 23/24. Now I have a new favorite - Aoi Sakura XXL. Naming all the new scrunchies and my products in general is something I find very fun, and it's also very fun to share the process, like getting help from you on Instagram to decide the name Sakura.
